FNB Zambia Hands Over Refurbished Basketball Court to ZCAS University

We recently hosted First National Bank Zambia for the official handover of the newly refurbished campus basketball court. The infrastructure project was completed under the bank’s Turq Town Initiative.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Consultancy and Innovation, Dr Burton Mweemba, officially received the facility and expressed the University’s appreciation for FNB Zambia’s generous support.

Dr Mweemba noted that partnerships between leading corporate organisations and academic institutions play an important role in creating well-rounded learning environments that promote student development, wellness, innovation and community engagement.

He further reaffirmed ZCAS University’s commitment to maintaining a strong, continuous and mutually beneficial partnership with FNB Zambia.

Speaking on behalf of FNB Zambia, the Chief Marketing Officer, Mrs Kasali M. Kaingu, stated that the handover was aligned with the bank’s objective of improving and revitalising community spaces.

She also expressed FNB Zambia’s intention to strengthen its relationship with ZCAS University by supporting students through future financial literacy programmes and other student-centred initiatives.

The refurbished basketball court will contribute to the promotion of physical wellness, teamwork and sporting excellence among students.
