Job purpose
To provide administrative support to the department, assist with routine HR functions, coordinate maintenance matters, and supervise cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective daily operations.
Key responsibilities
Provide general administrative and clerical support within the Human Resource and Administration Department.
Ensure that all maintenance-related issues within the University are promptly reported and followed up.
Coordinate maintenance matters and liaise with service providers.
Supervise cleaning staff and ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained across University facilities.
Supervise the external cleaning services providers.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies to ensure availability at all times.
Support compliance with health and safety requirements.
Qualifications and experience
Grade Twelve Certificate or equivalent with five (5) O-Level credits or better.
Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.\
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field will be an added advantage.
Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience.
Basic knowledge of human resource management procedures and administrative processes.
Work experience or exposure in the supervision of cleaning or maintenance crews in a cleaning service company, factory, or higher learning institution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management will be an added advantage.
